Environmental ICT infrastructure is absolutely essential to enable governments, agencies and individuals to inform (and be informed) about the state of the environment and to warn of impending environmental emergencies in a timely fashion.

Our commission supports the overall objective of using and promoting ICT for environmentally sustainable development, by examining, identifying and helping to solve environmental problems that are common to citizens of Africa, and, indeed to the whole world.
