He was an ISC member for WITFOR 2003 and is program chair for WITFOR 2007. | |

Klaus Brunnstein is co-founder of the Faculty for Informatics, Hamburg University and a Professor for Application of Informatics at this university since 1973. His special areas since 1980 are data protection, computer and network security, incident and risk analysis of IT systems, legal and ethical aspects of informatics. In 1988 he founded the Virus Test Center (VTC) in Hamburg. His involvement in IFIP is long standing. Among others he was a founding member in 1976 of IFIP TC-9 "Relationship between Computers and Society". He is the IFIP president since 2002. | |

Mr. Bogale Demissie is the Chief Executive Officer of DataVision International [Ethiopia] and Chairman and co-founder of DataVision International [Tanzania]. He is an international expert in ICT having over 36 years of experiences. He holds BSc. in Civil Engineering, MSc. in Computer Studies and Diploma in Statistics. He has held several IT related management and advisory posts in many countries [Africa, Europe, Middleast, Caribbean and Asia] as United Nations IT country resident and visiting advisor. He has published several IT related papers for internationally organized seminars and workshop and prepared quite a number of IT and related technical manuals. His expertise includes system, database, human resource development, and statistical data processing. He is a member of the British Computer Society, Association of Computing Machineries [ACM] of USA, Association of Information Technology Professional of USA, IEEE Computer Society, and Ethiopian Information Technology Professional Association in which he was the president from year 2003 to 2006. | |

Sebastiaan von Solms has been the Chairman of the Academy for Information Technology of the University of Johannesburg in Johannesburg, South Africa, since 1978. He specializes in research and consultancy in the area of Information Security. He is extensively involved with IFIP and has been the chair of Technical Committee 11 on the Security and Protection of Information Processing Systems. He is currently the President-Elect of IFIP, and will start his term as President during the IFIP General Assembly meeting in August 2007 in Addis Ababa. |
